As the end of the quarter nears, many students are excited that they are approaching the end of their Antonelli College career. With that excitement often comes the mixed emotion of dread knowing that they are also getting ready to begin their internship. Yes, countless hours were spent in the classroom, but why is it also important to do an internship?
According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, employers taking part in their 2010 Internship & Co-op Survey reported that 44.6 percent of their Class of 2009 hires came from their own internship programs. Among these employers 83.4 percent said they designed their internship programs to help the organization recruit entry-level college hires. This speaks volumes of the impact that an internship can have on jumpstarting your career.

The Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU) awarded Sanetra Wilson Hall, a 2012 graduate of the Antonelli College Paralegal Studies program, the 2014 GREAT (Graduate Recognition for Excellence, Achievement, and Talent) Award. The GREAT Award recognizes former students who have demonstrated outstanding academic and personal achievement and Mrs. Hall was one of five selected from nominations across the country.
"I am very humbled to be nominated for such a prestigious award," said Hall, a native of New Albany, "choosing to pursue my degree at Antonelli College was the best decision I ever made." Mrs. Hall is a graduate of New Albany High school and began her studies at Antonelli College in 2010, Mrs. Hall transitioned into the workforce and is currently employed with Bryan Nelson P.A. Sanetra is one of two-hundred and eight Nationally Certified Paralegals in the state of Mississippi.
Mrs. Hall will accept her award at the GREAT Awards Ceremony on March 4, 2014 on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
"Sanetra was an exceptional student and is an amazing young woman. We were proud of Sanetra as a student and continue to be proud of her as a graduate," said Steve Bryant, Campus President. "She is a perfect example of what an education can help someone accomplish in life and we are so happy for her to receive the GREAT Award and to serve as a representative of Antonelli College's graduates."

The Antonelli College Cincinnati Campus is proud to announce photography graduate Christopher Rumer was selected by Photographers Forum magazine as a finalist in their 2013 Best of College and High School Photography competition. Christopher’s B&W image of the Cincinnati skyline was chosen as a finalist in the competition that highlights superior photographic images from students across the nation. This is the 33rd year of the annual competition and Photographers Forum magazine has been publishing it’s quarterly magazine since 1977, highlighting emerging professionals in the industry with it’s high quality reproductions.
The Photography program encourages its current students to submit work to a variety of competitions and publications to gain both recognition and confidence in their ability to compete with other emerging photographers. This is the second student from the Photography program to be highlighted as a finalist in this competition in the past 5 years.

Antonelli College Recognizes Spring 2012 Graduates
Twenty-seven students earn Associate Degrees; become Antonelli College Alumni
Cincinnati– Antonelli College awarded degrees to a total of 27 students during the 2012 Spring Graduation Ceremony on March 29 at the Aronoff Center for the Arts in downtown Cincinnati. Dr. David J. Childs, Ph.D., a graduate of Antonelli College and currently a Professor of Social Studies and History at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, and Mark Elder, Safeties coach and Special Teams coordinator for the University of Cincinnati, spoke to the graduates about the importance of finding inspiration and motivation to achieve success.
Earning an Associate of Applied Business Degree in Business Office Applications are Lea Hill and Lisa Speakes. Earning anAssociate of Applied Business Degree in Technical and Network Support is Richard Morton. Earning an Associate of Applied Business Degree in Graphic Design are David Kappa, Heather Owens, Paul Reis, Jr., Zach Wander, and Marques Wilcox. Earning an Associate of Applied Business Degree in Interior Design are Elizabeth Dugan, Kristal Miller, and Ludelia Warren.
Earning an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Health Information Technology – Medical Coding is Donna Porter. Earning an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Health Information Technology – Massage Therapy are Nadia Collins, Cassidy Morton, and Alicia Porter.

Future Antonelli Massage Therapy Grads Pass Mississippi State Board Exams
HATTIESBURG -- Congratulations to the following students and recent graduates for passing their Mississippi State Board of Massage Therapy Exam.
Jessica Collinsof Lumberton; Stephanie Mitchell of Baton Rouge; and Jeremiah Deer and Bridgett Singley both of Hattiesburg all successfully passed the exam. These four students are now eligible to become licensed by the State Board of Massage Therapy.
“With state certification status, these student’s education will qualify them to work anywhere in the state,” said Rob Kennedy, Massage Therapy Department Chair. “I am so proud of our instructors Allison Butler and Jenny Walters, but most of all, I am proud of our students. They have all worked really hard and I believe they will be very successful in their chosen career field.”

HATTIESBURG -- Antonelli College will hold its commencement ceremony for the winter graduates on Monday, March 26th, at 7 p.m. at the Lake Terrace Convention Center. Senator Chris McDaniel will deliver the commencement address.

Four Future Antonelli Grads Pass Mississippi State Board Exams

Antonelli College Photography Graduates Show Work at Local Gallery
Antonelli College 2011 photography graduates showcase their work at art gallery Pop Revolution.
Cincinnati, OH: December 9, 2011 – Six recent graduates of the Antonelli College photography program will be showing their art work at the cutting edge art gallery Pop Revolution in historic downtown Mason, OH.
"Our students are producing truly exceptional work," said Andrea Millette, Photography Department Chair of Antonelli College in Cincinnati, Ohio. "This is an opportunity for them to showcase their work, and for the public to see the talent and passion our graduates have for the art of photography."
The graduates presenting their work are: Matthew Baylor of Hamilton, OH; Dana Christman of Cincinnati, OH; Toni Florence of Bellevue, KY; Sara Hunter of Monroe, OH; James Payton of Hamilton, OH; and Ashley Zych of Burlington, KY.
"This is the chance to present these graduates to the public, introduce them and their work to the community, and help them start their career as photographers," said John Engelman, a photography instructor at Antonelli College. "And this is a chance for the community to see the tremendous artwork these graduates are producing. We're proud of them."
Pop Revolution is open to the public, and is located at 105 East Main Street, Mason, OH 45040, with free parking in the rear of the building. There will be an open reception for the graduates on Friday, December 16th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the gallery. Refreshments will be served at the reception.Continue reading
Ladasharea Weatherspoon, of Hattiesburg, MS, was presented with the Antonelli College Achievement Award at the annual Graduate Luncheon at Southern Oaks House and Gardens on Monday, January 3, 2011.
Each quarter, Antonelli College awards an outstanding graduate with the Antonelli Achievement Award. This award is presented to a student who has exhibited growth, perseverance, determination, and self-awareness through the course of his or her time at Antonelli.
